We offer a supportive ear with some of
Central Georgia's most established therapists.
Our mental health practice diligently strives to provide quality and excellence of care to the individuals and families who entrust their concerns and mental health issues to us. We are able to do this in many ways since there are six therapists in our office, and each one has his or her own specialty, style, and panache.
We all use combinations of the standard practice theories, tailoring to each patient's individual needs and expectations, age and the nature of the illness. Individual therapy is a good place to recognize and identify feelings and issues that seem to be causing significant distress to people, to gain insight and awareness, to learn and use more efficient ways of coping with concerns, and to practice new and different techniques of dealing with stress, anxiety, or depression.
We like to give homework - yes, the process of therapy is work - and we love to recommend books and articles that we have found to be helpful, informative, and entertaining. We view homework as a way to reinforce and practice new skills and to help you discover other ways of being aware of yourself in the world.
Therapy with children often uses art and music components as well as therapeutic play. Certainly in child and adolescent therapy, the availability of the entire family is vital at times, and your therapist will help in determining what will be best for your family.
A short bio of each of our therapists can be found on the About page.
